Why SureDash?

Most community tools make you choose: pay monthly fees to a third-party platform, or spend weeks building something custom.

SureDash gives you a third option — a ready-to-go community platform built right into WordPress. You keep full ownership of your content, your members, and your brand.

What You Can Build

Discussion Spaces — Give your members a place to talk, ask questions, and share ideas. Threaded replies, rich text, reactions, bookmarks, and GIF support included.

Online Courses — Build structured courses with sections, lessons, and progress tracking. Members pick up where they left off.

Member Dashboard — A clean, branded home base for your members. They see their spaces, activity, and notifications in one place.

Resource Libraries — Share files, guides, links, and downloads in organized collections.

Events — Schedule and display upcoming events, webinars, and meetups.

User Profiles — Each member gets a profile with a bio, social links, activity history, and badges.

Will it work with my theme?

Yes. SureDash is designed to work with any standard WordPress theme. It works especially well with Astra, Kadence, and other popular themes.

Can members create their own posts?

In the free version, admins create posts and members can comment. With SureDash Pro, you can let members create posts too.

I’ve been using SureDash since it launched, initially as a beta tester, and I can say with confidence that this team builds software worth paying attention to. For my use case — running an online guitar academy with courses, resources, and ongoing student communication — SureDash solved something I couldn’t find elsewhere: a platform that looks genuinely good out of the box, without needing custom CSS to make it presentable, and that combines courses, discussion spaces, and access control in a way that actually works together. The SureMembers integration is seamless. The feature that has changed my workflow most is the MCP integration with Claude. I can post updates and lesson notes to my students without ever opening the site. For a one-person operation, that kind of automation is a genuine gamechanger. A few things I’d love to see: Per-user resource sharing. You can already share a post with a single user — I asked for that, and they built it. But for resources like PDFs and MP3s, sharing is currently limited to access groups. For coaching, being able to share a file with one specific person is important. The functionality feels close — it just isn’t there yet for resources. Search and categorisation. With hundreds of videos and growing, discoverability is becoming a real issue. Either native categories and tags, or an ACF integration, would go a long way. Video messaging. The ability to record and post a video directly in a comment or post would be huge for coaching workflows. A special integration with PrestoPlayer and Bunny CDN might work here. Plugin integration clarity. Running SureDash alongside SureMembers and SureCart, there are moments where it’s genuinely unclear where to do certain things. Login is a good example — SureMembers has its own, SureDash creates another. When someone is running all three plugins, there should be clear guidance on how to handle login, page restriction, downloads, and access in a unified way. These products are stronger together, and that should be more obvious. This team listens — the single-user post sharing I mentioned above is proof of that. I have genuine trust in where this is going. Four stars because there’s real work still to do, but I’m watching closely and I expect that to change.

In 2025, the plugin had a somewhat bumpy start, but since then it has managed to catch up. I had a specific request, which was developed within a reasonable time frame, so sometimes they do listen to user needs. What I like most is that it is fully compatible with all WordPress pages, posts, and plugins. The course feature is very clean, and SureMembers integration is getting better and better. Unfortunately, however, there are still many fundamental shortcomings. There are a lot of bugs, and minor features aren’t working. To be honest, this still feels more like a beta product than something ready for production, compared to other similar product. My biggest concern is that there’s no roadmap, and the Facebook group doesn’t often answer questions about specific features or future developments. This erodes trust; people are reluctant to build a business around it because they don’t know what to expect. It would be great, but it would require more care.

After a few weeks of using SureDash, my honest impression is that it still feels like a beta product rather than a polished, production-ready plugin. There are too many basic engineering problems: poor accessibility, messy markup, strange frontend decisions, leftover classes from other products, hardcoded JavaScript strings that create translation issues, and even missing support for WebP files, which are now a standard image format. As a developer building client sites, that is a major red flag. I could go on and on. The things mentioned above are just a few og the problems. There are so many “dumb” bugs. It feels like it’s vibe coded to he honest. The biggest problem is trust. I need to know that the tools I use are stable and well-built. With SureDash, I keep finding bugs and questionable implementation details, and fixes seem slow to arrive. That makes it hard to rely on for real-world client work. The idea behind the product is good, but the execution is not there yet. Right now, I cannot recommend SureDash to professionals who care about code quality, maintainability, accessibility, and reliability.

Full disclosure: I have not gone live yet with SureDash, but I’ve set it up with content on Local, and the process was very easy. The interfaces are simple and clean for a DIYer. During the process, I spotted a minor issue—not a bug, but not a feature enhancement, either. I contacted Support, and I received an answer with a solution within 24 hours (if you are in the U.S., expect a next-day response). This is not the first time Support has helped me with one of their products. In all cases, they are kind, helpful, and clear in their communication. Is SureDash perfect? This is still a young product, and I’m committed to it and the team behind it. Their focus seems to be on simplicity in the early going, and that has made my learning curve easy to navigate.

I have built out one community so far and to be honest, Im really impressed with the features the team have put together in a relatively short space of time. Looking forward to the planned gamification and leaderboard too!

Suredash has allowed me to create a beautiful looking video subscription community, and it is improving with every new release – and offers great value for the price. I always appreciate the level of support from the Sure team and also the fact they listen to what users say. Keep up the great work guys – Suredash is going to be a powerhouse
