RSS Includes Pages

Modifies RSS feeds so that they include pages and not just posts. Deactivating the plugin restores RSS feeds to their default state.

Including pages in your feed is particularly useful if you’re using WordPress as a CMS where pages represent a good portion of your content.

The pro version (less than $10) also allows you to:

  1. Specify that ONLY pages are included in the feeds i.e. no posts.
  2. Exclude/include posts and pages by ID.
  3. Add custom post types such as WooCommerce products or Avada portfolios.

  • By default the plugin adds pages to your existing feeds. In the pro version you can specify posts and/or pages. You can also excludes posts/pages by ID.

  1. Upload the rss-includes-feeds folder to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. The free version doesn’t have any settings you can change. Pages will be included by default.

Will this plugin work with other RSS feed related plugins?

Yes. The modifications to the feed are done at a low level and other plugins should remain compatible.

I just activated the plugin, why don’t I see pages in my feed?

If you’re using Feedburner you’ll have to wait until your updated feed is picked up by Feedburner. This isn’t immediate so give it a few hours. Also, WordPress caches feeds and doesn’t rebuild it on the fly.

Does this plugin create new feeds?

No. The plugin adds pages and custom post types to existing feeds. No new feeds are created; existing ones are modified.

I like this plugin, do you have others?

I sure do! My complete collection includes:

Real-Time Find and Replace
Set up find and replace rules that are executed AFTER a page is generated by WordPress, but BEFORE it is sent to a user’s browser.

Republish Old Posts
Republish old posts automatically by resetting the date to the current date. Puts your evergreen posts in front of your users via the front page and feeds.

Enhanced Plugin Admin
At-a-glance info (last update date, rating, votes) on your site’s plugin page about the plugins you have installed (both active and inactive). Easily spot potential problems due to plugins no longer being supported or that have received low ratings.

Improved Include Page
This plugin allows you to include the content of a page in a template file or a post/page (via a shortcode) with several options.

Does not work

Edit Wasnt working at once but After cleaning cache and cookies it does. Not much settings available in free version. In fact zero settings available. Even preventing articles is greyed. Does the job but very limited

Doesnt work for me

hello, Im using the Envision theme - none of the pages show up in the feed after installation, so unfortunately doesnt seem to work for every theme. Pity, hope developer can offer this for other themes, thanks.

Adds Pages To Feeds Just Like It Says

Some people say this plugin is useless, but they don't seem to be reading the description. If you want pages to be added to your existing feeds, this plugin will do that. No settings or configuration. Just activate and go. Some additional features are in the pro version, but 30,000+ users find the free version useful enough to keep it active. You can't argue with the numbers! 🙂

Seems to work as advertised

This is a very useful plugin. It fills yet another gap where the core WordPress folks make a distinction between posts and pages but nobody else does! Installed without errors, works as advertised. I find the free version most useful. Thanks.
