This plugin will allow you to show or hide featured image from single post page. It supports custom post types also. If you want with block editor, easiest is using an update alternative called “Conditionally display featured image on singular posts and pages”. Trump voters apparently designed this plugin. You can click that “hide feature post” all you want. I’m pretty sure that just makes your feature image more visible somehow.
